A fair share of what we bake never reaches our own shop. It goes out to cafes, hotels, pubs, clubs and caterers across Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
If you are buying for a venue rather than a birthday, this is what working with us actually looks like.
What we supply
Cheesecake is what we are known for, and it is what most venues start with. Both baked and chilled.
But the range is wider than that, and for a lot of venues that is the point:
- Gateaux and mud cakes — the cabinet workhorses
- Cakes, pavlovas and tarts and pies
- Gluten free and vegan lines — increasingly the first thing venues ask about
- A savoury range including pies, sausage rolls and quiches
That last point is the genuine differentiator. Most wholesale bakery suppliers are dessert-only. If you can take your sweet cabinet and your savoury cabinet from the same supplier, on the same delivery, that is one less account to manage.
Where we actually deliver
We would rather be precise about this than vague, because wholesale relationships fail on over-promising.
Brisbane southside and Logan — our home turf, and the easiest for us to service well.
Brisbane CBD and inner south — within our regular reach.
Gold Coast — we run to the Gold Coast, which covers the northern corridor through to the central strip. If you are further south, ask and we will tell you honestly whether we can service you properly rather than saying yes and disappointing you in month three.
We do not currently service Brisbane’s north or west, or Ipswich. When that changes we will say so.
Why venues move to us
Two reasons come up repeatedly.
It is made here. Everything is baked on site at Springwood rather than bought in and re-badged. That means if something is not right, the person who can fix it is in the building — not at the end of a national supplier’s phone queue.
We are small enough to answer the phone. You are dealing with a 42-year-old family business, not an account manager who covers three states. If you need something adjusted for your venue, that is a conversation rather than a request form.
What we are not
In fairness: we are not a national supplier. We cannot match the volume, the range breadth or the twenty-four-hour turnaround of the big wholesale bakeries.
What we offer instead is local, consistent, made-on-site product from people you can actually reach. If volume and price are your only criteria, we are probably not the right fit, and we would rather say so now.
